Former Man United goalkeeper Ben Foster believes the board will be forced into sacking Ruben Amorim if the club’s form doesn’t improve within the next four matches.
The Red Devils have only picked up four points from their opening four league fixtures, and Foster says that, if that trend continues, the Portuguese head coach could be fired very soon:
“I guarantee you, if, after eight games, they’ve got eight points and they’re still in 14th or 15th position, somebody’s gonna have to pull the trigger because it can’t carry on like that because it’s been proven now.”

“It’s nearly a year since he’s been the manager. It won’t work.”
Who will Man United face in their next 4 fixtures?
Amorim’s side host Chelsea at Old Trafford this Sunday before travelling to Brentford at the end of this month.
Prior to the October international break, they will take on Sunderland, prior to a massive fixture against Liverpool at Anfield a couple of weeks later.
Amorim still has the support of the board
Reports suggest that the 40-year-old has the backing of minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe as well as the rest of the club. They invested nearly £200m into the playing squad during the summer transfer window, so it is understandable why he will be given more time to turn things around.
However, the stats show that Amorim has the worst win % of any Man United manager since the Second World War, while the Red Devils also has the worst points total of any current Premier League team since his appointment in November last year.
Patience is running out. We have put together a list of5 things that Amorim must do to keep his job, as well as the 5 favourites to take over if United decide to change their manager.
