Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is set to receive a significant pay increase as the Gunners make good progress on extending his contract at the Emirates Stadium, according to TBR Football.
Mikel Arteta's side have enjoyed an impressive start to the Premier League season, winning three of their four games in England's top flight. The Gunners did suffer a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Liverpool, but they've also had some injuries to key players and still shown plenty of signs of promise.
Last time out, Arsenal were without William Saliba and Saka, while Martin Odegaard has now also picked up an injury, meaning he will miss their Champions League clash against Athletic Club. As it stands, Arsenal's focus will be on ensuring they have a strong start to the season before the January window, and attention has also turned to extending the contracts of some of their key stars.

According to a report from TBR Football, Arsenal are making good progress with a new deal for Saka, with Andre Berta holding lengthy talks with the England international. Saka is set to receive a significant pay increase, and he's said to be impressed by Berta's vision for the future of the north London club.
It's believed that Arsenal want to have both players signed and sealed before the January transfer window, which makes sense given they'll want to switch their focus to incomings and outgoings in the winter. Saka appears happy at the Emirates Stadium, which will undoubtedly make negotiations that little bit easier, and it's no surprise given he's come through the academy and become one of their best players.
Saka reportedly earns in the region of £250,000-a-week at Arsenal, so he's going to be taking home a hefty amount if the pay rise is significant. The academy graduate is already one of Arsenal's biggest earners at the club, and he's set to be rewarded for his excellent form since bursting onto the scene with the Gunners.
There's no doubt the majority of Arsenal fans will be content with their club giving Saka a pay rise given his importance to the side and the fairytale of having an academy graduate becoming one of their most crucial players in Mikel Arteta's squad.
