Arsenal face Athletic Club at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao as Mikel Arteta looks to kick off his side’s UEFA Champions League campaign with a victory. The Spaniard spoke on Monday evening about using the pain from last season’s semi-final frustration to take them forward.
He also highlighted how the club will need two things in order to take the next step. Having a fully fit squad and taking the chances when they come; while the second one is fully within their control, he will take on the Basque side without Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus who are all injured. William Saliba and Christian Norgaard are back fit, however, and are in contention to play a part in Bilbao.
