Newcastle United fans were outraged last week when it became apparent that a school in Dundee, Scotland, had 45 tickets for the upcoming game against Barcelona.
Over 100,000 fans entered the ballot for tickets for the game, and when news broke that a school over 200 miles away had been given tickets for the highly sought-after game, fans understandably hit the roof.
The club launched an investigation into what had happened and, as a result of their findings, moved to cancel the tickets and return them to sale for fans, as well as cancelling a number of season tickets after their holders were found to be in breach of the club's resale policy.
Now, the club has provided a further update with a statement on their official site stating that even more season tickets have been cancelled.

The club are clamping down on ticket touts
With so many fans unable to get tickets, the club are very keen to ensure that the process of buying tickets remains as fair as possible, and that's why the club has taken the action it has.
Following further investigation into unauthorised re-selling of tickets for matches at St. James' Park, we have now cancelled a total of 103 season tickets in recent days for breaching terms and conditions.
This instance does not relate to individual supporters re-selling their tickets, but to a batch of season tickets sold to a small number of tour organisers during the 2015/16 season for the benefit of school groups.
The club terminated any third-party ticket provider agreements shortly after the club's change in ownership in 2021, including some hospitality sales and a small allocation of match tickets for a former commercial partner.
However, with no formal contract in place for the tour groups, the continued use and unauthorised resale of their season tickets at a higher package price was not detected until recently.
Upon being made aware of this issue, the club took immediate action.
At a time when we are doing our utmost to protect legitimate access for Newcastle United fans, we want to be fully transparent and apologise for this oversight.
The club has not received any funds above the face value price of these season tickets and has immediately returned the seats for sale to supporters who have entered the official ballot for upcoming fixtures.
Supporters who suspect unauthorised reselling are urged to send relevant information to [email protected].

Can the atmosphere and performance match PSG in 2023?
The tickets have already been scooped up by grateful fans who thought they'd originally missed out on their opportunity to be in the stands on Thursday night for the biggest game of the season so far.
The atmosphere on Thursday is expected to be electric with many expecting it to rival the one the Geordies created when Paris Saint-Germain came to St James' Park two years ago.
We really hope that it does, but more importantly, we hope the match lives up to the hype, and if the result can mimic that game against PSG, too, then there are going to be some sore heeds on Friday.
