AFCA Release

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference once again set the standard for excellence beyond the playing field, leading all conferences with three standout football student-athletes selected to the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for the Football Bowl Subdivision. The announcement was made today by Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).

The prestigious honor recognizes 22 college football players and one head coach across all levels of the sport for their extraordinary commitment to serving their communities. This year’s team was chosen from a record 195 nominees nationwide, underscoring the impact these young leaders are making through causes ranging from substance abuse prevention to youth and family outreach.

With three of the 11 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) honorees, the ACC leads all conferences and continues its tradition of producing student-athletes who embody leadership, service and integrity.

For the second year, Allstate has partnered with the Wuerffel Foundation to unite two of college football’s most meaningful community service awards – the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy. Fans will have the opportunity to help shape the final honor by voting at ESPN.com/Allstate through November 10. One of the 11 FBS honorees will be named the 2025 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy recipient and serve as captain of this year’s Good Works Team.
