Everton fans may have been looking out for Molly McCann over the weekend.
Everton drew 0-0 with Aston Villa on 13 September, but McCann’s attention was likely focused elsewhere, despite her love for the Blues.
David Moyes‘ side have started the season in great form, but their momentum stuttered at the Hill Dickinson Stadium against the Villans.
McCann did not suffer the same fate, as she started a new career with magnificent success.

Everton sent Molly McCann message after boxing debut vs Kate Radomska
Everton have a number of famous supporters, of whom McCann is one of the most prominent in the sporting world at the moment.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The former UFC fighter has now transitioned to boxing after retiring, and she started her new career with a win over Kate Radomska.
‘Meatball’ Molly as she is known, wore an all-blue outfit, with the Everton motto – NSNO (Nil Satis Nisi Optimum) on her gloves.
The Toffees sent a message via X on 16 September, saying: “Congratulations Meatball Molly on a convincing win in your professional boxing debut – and we love the touch on the gloves and gear, too.”
Molly McCann will hope Everton can have similar success
McCann will be hoping that Moyes’ side can take motivation from her exploits on her boxing debut.
The Toffees could learn a lot from the former octagon star’s belief and resilience in a new surrounding, which is similar to the Blues’ attempts to reach European qualification.
Moyes has transformed Everton since he replaced Sean Dyche in January 2025
Lost just six of his first 25 matches back in charge of the Blues
Won 11 and drawn eight of those games
Started this season with two wins, one draw and one loss in the league
Whether Moyes’s side can achieve that goal remains to be seen, but if they can and McCann can keep winning in her new sport, it would be wonderful.
McCann will hope that her beloved Blues can get one over on arch-rivals Liverpool this weekend, and upset her former MMA teammate Paddy ‘the baddy’ Pimblett in the process.
If they can, it would be a huge boost to their ambitions this season, and would almost give McCann as much satisfaction as her own victory.
