Top 10 NFL Teams After Week 2 Featuring The Chiefs, Colts, And More

10. Chiefs (0-2)

Yes, I’m fully aware that the Chiefs are 0-2, but let’s add a bit of context. Both of their losses were close and against really good teams. Meanwhile, Kansas City’s receiving corps is completely decimated due to the absences of Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, both of whom will return in the coming weeks. As of right now, it’s way too early to write the Chiefs off entirely.

9. Lions (1-1)

Detroit Lions defensive end Marcus Davenport (92) sacks Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams (18) during the second half at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025.

The Lions had 511 total yards of offense in their dominant 52-21 victory over Chicago. It was a needed response from their offense after being held in check by Green Bay in Week 1. And while I don’t think Detroit is as good as they’ve been the last two years, they are still capable enough to compete with good teams and beat up on bad teams.

8. Buccaneers (2-0)

Tampa Bay is 2-0 despite trailing in the final two minutes of both games. It’s the fifth straight season that the Buccaneers have started 2-0 (they ended up winning the NFC South in each of the previous four). Tampa will face a fairly easy schedule going forward as just 4 of their 15 remaining games are against teams that made the playoffs last season.

7. Colts (2-0)

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones (17) looks to pass downfield Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, during a game against the Denver Broncos at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

It’s time to start taking the Colts seriously. Indy had 473 total yards of offense, 7.1 yards per play, and 26 first downs against Denver’s elite defense in their 29-28 victory. The Colts also became the first team in the Super Bowl era to not have a single punt through their first two games of the season. They are well coached and well-rounded.

6. Chargers (2-0)

The Chargers followed up their Week 1 win over the Chiefs by beating another AFC West rival in Week 2. L.A.’s defense was completely suffocating against Geno Smith and the Raiders, forcing Smith into three interceptions on the night. Wide receivers Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen both caught touchdowns in the victory after also doing so in Week 1.

5. Rams (2-0)

After playing a close, hard-fought game through three quarters, the Rams pulled away from the Titans in the final frame and ended up winning by two touchdowns. L.A. finished the game with 439 total yards of offense, while Tennessee had just 252. The Rams’ defense once again played well as their offense continues to show its’ star power with Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams.

4. Ravens (1-1)

The Ravens are the highest scoring team in the league through two weeks, having scored 40 or more points in each of their first two games. Lamar Jackson leads the NFL in passer rating (136.6) and is tied for the league lead in passing touchdowns (6). Baltimore remains a powerful force on the offensive side of the ball.

3. Eagles (2-0)

The Eagles haven’t looked fantastic in either of their first two games. Philly only had 216 total yards of offense in their 20-17 win at Kansas City and they currently rank second to last in the NFL in yards per play. With that being said, Philadelphia is now 18-1 since Week 6 of last season and their only loss in that span came in a game which Jalen Hurts exited due to injury.

2. Packers (2-0)

Green Bay has arguably the best defense in the NFL through two weeks. They rank in the top five in points allowed per game, yards allowed per game, and yards per play allowed, and their first two games have come against good teams with good quarterbacks in Detroit and Washington. On offense, Jordan Love has now gone nine consecutive regular-season games without throwing an interception. That’s 226 consecutive pass attempts.

1. Bills (2-0)

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has his eyes on his receiver before throwing the pass during first half action against the Baltimore Ravens at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park on Sept. 7, 2025.

The Bills lead the NFL in yards per game (450) and first downs per game (27), while also ranking second in points per game (35.5). Buffalo has looked as explosive on offense as any team in the league and they have already beaten Baltimore, who is arguably their biggest challenger in the AFC as of right now. The Bills will be enormous favorites in each of their next two games, both of which are at home, against the Dolphins and Saints. They should reach 4-0 with ease.
