The struggles are real for Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, as the former No. 1 pick and his squad have suffered back-to-back disappointing losses.
The first was one in which the Bears led for most of the home game, until allowing their opponents, the Minnesota Vikings, to score 21 points in the final quarter and seize the win.
Another division rival, the Detroit Lions, destroyed the Bears in Week 2, scoring 52 points at their home stadium to the Bears' 21.

And with the vicious losses, blame keeps swirling around various team members or personnel, including head coach Ben Johnson and his quarterback, Williams.
Based on Williams' performance, several individuals issued cautionary remarks about the Bears' QB regarding his next game and the remainder of the NFL season.
During a recent episode of "The Colin Cowherd Podcast," Fox Sports analyst and host Cowherd spoke with "3 & Out" host John Middlekauff about Williams' dismal performances and what it could lead to.
"I think Caleb gets one more start. And if it's ugly, can Ben come out and go, 'Listen, Caleb's going to be fine.' You sell that to the media, but he needs a week off," he said, adding that they need to "get some stuff right" with Williams.
"I could see one more start, I really could, and then you go to Tyson Bagent," Cowherd said.
Middlekauff agreed, saying it's been "way uglier" than he thought it might be with Ben Johnson as coach and Williams at QB1.
He also indicated there is precedent to bench a former No. 1 pick, as the Carolina Panthers did that with Bryce Young for multiple games last season.
"I mean, what are we talking about at this point, losing more games?" Middlekauff asked about the Bears possibly benching Williams in favor of Bagent.
The Bears notably signed their backup QB, Bagent, to a two-year $10 million contract extension during the offseason, suggesting they wanted him available for such a situation.
Bagent, the Bears' backup QB, took over briefly during the Week 2 loss, with 2-of-3 completions for 27 yards. On the flipside, Williams threw 19-of-30 completions for 207 and two touchdowns, but also got picked off once and sacked four times.
Cowherd suggested that several other quarterbacks appear like they'll succeed from the 2024 NFL Draft, and the "one miss" could potentially be the No. 1 pick, Williams.
Based on his and Middlekauff's remarks, if Williams doesn't get it going in Week 3, his season as the starting QB could end in favor of Bagent. That could be disastrous for a Bears franchise trying to get their head coach and quarterback right after failing for multiple seasons.
Williams will try to turn things around with a Week 3 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
