That clip captured on CBS cameras gave fans a peek into something you don’t usually see, which is an owner wearing a headset to learn the game, not call the shots. For Irsay-Gordon, it’s part of her effort to understand the team’s operations firsthand. But in that moment, her reaction said it all.

Now it could be all her frustration over the call, but she was shocked for sure. However, some fans are being silly over her viral expression.
One userwrote, “That’s the same reaction when your mom sees you doing that. I can’t afford my naughty feelings.” The reaction highlighted how her expression reminded many of a parent catching their kid red-handed.
However, not everyone interpreted the reaction the same way. Some took a more corporate angle, with onepenning, “She’s like, ‘OK, someone is getting fired.'”
“Gotta understand she doesn’t understand football. She’s learning in the moment respectfully,” one X usernoted, acknowledging that ownership often requires on-the-job education about X’s and O’s.
However, the maternal theme continued with another fanwriting, “They should respond to her with ‘Yes, Mother, whatever you say!'”
One supporter praised her visibility and involvement, adding, “Woman in a man’s world, love her facial expressions, and God bless her, and wish the Colts the best.”
So, Irsay-Gordo is getting attention because she’s different. Surprisingly, she’s been deeply involved with the franchise for over two decades but didn’t come into the spotlight until becoming CEO.
Who is Carlie Irsay-Gordon?
Irsay-Gordon, born September 29, 1980, is the co-owner and CEO of the Indianapolis Colts. She took over as principal owner following her father Jim Irsay’s death on May 21. The transition of ownership was announced in June alongside her sisters, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson.
This makes her one of only 10 current female owners in the NFL. The Dallas-born executive moved to Indianapolis at age 3 and attended Park Tudor School before graduating from college.

She’s been around the Colts facility for years, so her presence isn’t new to coaches and players. Colts safety Cam Bynum recently praised her as the “most involved” owner he’s ever seen, highlighting howher hands-on approach extends beyond gameday sideline appearances.
No wonder, as fans consistently see her active, wearing headphones and holding a notebook each time they observe her. It shows she cares about the franchise a lot, and the players are trying to pay off even in a hard-fought, high-scoring affair.
