The ongoing inquest at Manchester United continues to throw up more questions than answers.
Indeed, United lost the Manchester derby 3-0 at the weekend as Manchester City bulldozed the Red Devils in what was a rather simple afternoon for Pep Guardiola’s side.
As you can imagine, a number of United players were under the microscope after the game.

Paul Scholes says Bruno Fernandes needs to change position, while Wayne Rooney was largely critical of the entire team.
Speaking on his podcast, Gary Neville has now made another point about United’s struggles, picking out Altay Bayindir as a player who simply isn’t good enough.

Altay Bayindir isn’t good enough
Neville spoke about Bayindir after the Manchester derby.
The pundit said that he doesn’t think the stopper particularly did anything wrong on the day, but he thinks he’s not good enough to be United’s number one, and, at some point, that will come back to bite Ruben Amorim’s side.
“The goalkeeper is the goalkeeper,” Neville said.
“I don’t think he did anything particularly wrong, but I don’t think he will be strong enough to be a Manchester United goalkeeper. That will come back to bite them at some point. The midfield is a massive problem.”
Paul Scholes has already spotted a Sanne Lammens problem
Neville says that Bayindir isn’t good enough for Manchester United, and that’s a problem that the club themselves have already spotted.
Indeed, Sanne Lammens was signed on deadline day, and, in time he will take up the role as United’s number one.
However, speaking on The Good, The Bad and The Football, Paul Scholes has already identified an issue with Lammens, claiming that he doesn’t think he’ll be a top goalkeeper.
“What’s the price? 20 million euros. It tells me he’s not a top goalkeeper. And if he is a top goalkeeper, he’s playing, he’s straight into the big game,” Scholes said.
“Because we know United have got big, big problems in goal.”
United’s goalkeeping problems may not be fixed overnight, that’s for sure.
