#STATEtoSundays: Week 2 Update

Dak Prescott guided the Dallas Cowboys to a 40-37 overtime win against the New York Giants this past Sunday.

Prescott completed 38 of 52 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns in the 40-37 victory while also adding 17 yards rushing on three carries. During overtime, the Mississippi State legend threw for 51 yards on 4 of 5 passing and added 14 yards on the ground to setup Branden Aubrey's game-winning 46-yard field goal.

Through the first two weeks, Prescott ranks second among NFL quarterbacks with an 89.9 offensive grade according to Pro Football Focus (PFF) and third with an 88.0 passing grade.

Willie Gay Jr. only got three defensive reps for Miami but made the most of them, notching a tackle on each play – including one for loss. The Starkville native holds the top defensive grade for the Dolphins this season at 80.8, is No. 1 in coverage (79.7) and ranks second in tackling at 77.3.

Both of Chris Jones' stops came behind the line of scrimmage in Kansas City's game against Philadelphia along with one quarterback hurry. Jones held the second-highest pressure grade for the Chiefs in that contest and ranks third on the team in that category for the season.

Montez Sweat tied for third on Chicago's defense with four tackles during Week 2 while adding a quarterback hurry. Sweat recorded the top pressure grade on the Bears' defense this past weekend at 86.1 and holds the No. 2 defensive grade on the team this year.

Charles Cross started and played all 65 snaps at left tackle for Seattle again this past Sunday. The former first-round draft pick is the Seahawks highest-rated run and pass blocking offensive lineman in 2025 and ranks fifth in the NFL among tackles with an overall offensive grade of 79.8.

Elgton Jenkins continues to thrive in his transition to center this season. Jenkins played all 68 offensive snaps for Green Bay and earned the team's best pass blocking grade with an 85.6.

Logan Cooke connected on a season-long 60-yard punt for Jacksonville and is averaging 51.5 yards per punt so far this year.
