But beyond the results, boss Andoni Iraola has been thrilled with his side’s performances across the opening games in the league.

Even in their one defeat so far this term, away at Liverpool, the Cherries went toe-to-toe with the defending champions, hauling themselves back from 2-0 down to 2-2 before losing late on.
Subsequently, they have defeated Wolves, Spurs and Brighton, and all have been performances that have seen the Cherries control the game and deservedly claim all three points.

Reflecting on the start to the campaign and the performances his side have produced, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I'm happy because we are competing really well.
“At the end, we are winning 2-1, 1-0, close results and we are dealing well with these small details and sometimes with similar performances we will not get the points.
“But as long as we are competitive in every game and we have our moments and are defensively solid like we've been I think especially in the last three games, I think we are going to be fine.
“But this is about the small details and the same way now we are taking the rewards.
“Sometimes players will make mistakes, especially the young ones. Sometimes things are not going to go our way. And we have to keep with the same mentality.”
