The 26-year-old made his Clarets debut against Liverpool on Sunday as a second-half substitute, replacing skipper Josh Cullen.

“He was brilliant when he came on,” he said. “I was really pleased with Tino, I thought he was top when he came on.

With Lesley Ugochukwu suspended for next weekend’s game against Nottingham Forest, Luis is likely to make his first start alongside Cullen in midfield.
