Tijjani Reijnders has admitted that he is working closely with one of his Manchester City teammates in training.
The Dutch star has been a big hit amongst fans of the Manchester club ever since he arrived from AC Milan during the summer, as the midfielder has brought a new energy to the middle of Pep Guardiola’s team.
Reijnders started the Premier League season on fire against Wolves, when the 27-year-old produced a goal and an assist at Molineux to help City to a 4-0 win on the opening weekend of the campaign.
The Netherlands international has yet to produce a goal contribution since Wolves; however, the new Man City star has admitted that he is working closely with Erling Haaland in training to change this.

Tijjani Reijnders is working closely with Erling Haaland in training
Reijnders had a mixed display against Man United, as the Dutch star produced some encouraging moments but also missed a one-on-one opportunity in the second half, in addition to misplacing several passes.
Roy Keane does not doubt that Reijnders will be a hit in the Premier League, but it will take time for the midfielder to reach his best in a Man City shirt, and the 27-year-old has now admitted that he is working on improving every day in training, particularly trying to learn Haaland’s game.

“We often talk in training about how we can best help each other. By constantly watching each other on the pitch, so we know where the spaces are. That worked well against Manchester United. A good feeling for both of us,” Reijnders told Algemeen Dagblad.
Reijnders and Haaland linked up against Wolves, but have yet to combine since. The Dutch star’s chance against Man United was set up by the Norwegian, and this may have been an early sign of how their relationship on the pitch will develop.

Tijjani Reijnders knows it will take time for him to reach his best at Man City
The football industry was shocked that Man City only paid £45m for Reijnders this summer, as the 27-year-old looks set to be one of the bargains of the previous transfer window.
Only time will tell if this will be the case, and the midfielder knows that there is more to come from him over the coming months.
“It takes time to get used to each other,” Reijnders said. “I need to get into those situations more often. Every game, I have to look for the opportunity to play a through ball. I hope I can do that more often from now on.”
Reijnders is expected to start against Napoli on Thursday night, and the Netherlands international will be looking to mark his first Champions League appearance with Man City by putting in an impressive display.
