Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham keeping tabs on 18-year-old African winger shining at Scandinavian…

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closely monitoring 18-year-old Ghanaian winger Prince Amoako Junior at Danish club FC Midtjylland.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Prince Amoako Junior has piqued the attention of several Premier League bigwigs with his exploits for FC Nordsjaelland. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs vying for the Ghanaian winger’s signature, with Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Manchester City also tracking his progress.

Prince Amoako Junior is the latest African wonderkid to rise in prominence at FC Nordsjaelland. The Danish Superliga has become renowned for grooming highly-rated prospects from African nations before they join bigger outfits. Ousmane Diomande and Mohammed Kudus are some of the latest notable examples of players who have cut their teeth at a Scandinavian club before moving to greener pastures.

As for the 18-year-old winger, Nordsjaelland signed him from the Right to Dream Academy earlier this year, and he has made considerable progress in six months. Junior has amassed four goals and one assist in only eight appearances thus far for the Scandinavian club. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

The last few years have seen Mikel Arteta become more open to handing game time to highly-rated prospects, with Max Dowman the latest beneficiary of that policy at Arsenal. However, Junior should think twice about joining Arsenal, considering Arteta has a stacked offensive unit at the North London club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s interest in Prince Amoako Junior is understandable. The Blues have been infamous for hoarding as many bright young attacking prospects as possible during the BlueCo era, with the summer transfer window witnessing the arrival of Estevao Willian, Jorrel Hato, and a few others.

As for Tottenham, Mohammed Kudus has made his mark since arriving from West Ham United in the summer transfer window. Additionally, the Lilywhites have adopted a youth-centric approach to their recruitment process, with Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, and Kota Takai recently moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Apart from the three London giants, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Manchester City are also tracking the 18-year-old Ghanaian winger’s progress.
