David Beckham has revealed the best player he played with at Manchester United, having played with some of the biggest names in world football.
After coming through the Manchester United academy, David Beckham made his senior debut under Sir Alex Ferguson in 1992.
Beckham was part of a talented group of young players at United, including Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes, who were coached by the legendary Eric Harrison.
The 50-year-old enjoyed lots of success at Old Trafford, including the treble in 1999, and he was unlucky to fall short of the coveted Ballon d’Or award in the same year.
During his time at United, Beckham played with many fantastic players, including the likes of Eric Cantona.
However, not even ‘The King’ could take his place as the best player to play with Beckham at United, even though he was a catalyst for so many young players.

After initially joking about Gary Neville, Beckham named Bryan Robson, who was his hero growing up as a footballer.
“Apart from Gary?” Beckham said, jokingly.
“He was my hero – Bryan Robson. Bryan Robson was my hero and my dad’s hero as well. To play with him at the time, even though playing with the likes of Roy Keane and Eric Cantona.
“Playing with your hero was very special for me. Bryan Robson… if I had to pick another one, I’d have to say Roy Keane because Roy Keane was just an exceptional captain, leader and a special guy.”
Beckham was a trainee at United in 1991 and made his senior debut in 1992, whereas Robson left United in 1994. Therefore, they never played together in a competitive match for the same team.
Keane also got an honourable mention after making 257 appearances in the same team as Beckham.
Bryan Robson’s FA Cup record
There is no denying Robson’s love for the FA Cup.
Robson played a key role in the FA Cup final against Brighton in 1983. United won the replay 4-0, as Captain Marvel lifted the cup for the first of three times.
The England international would go on to win the FA Cup again in 1985 and 1990.
That means Robson is the only United captain to lift the FA Cup three times.
