On this day in 2005, West Ham rose to fourth spot in the Premiership with a 2-1 win against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Marlon Harewood, fresh from scoring a hat-trick against Aston Villa opened the scoring in the second minute of the second half with an exquisite finish before a Tony Warner own goal five minutes later - the ball rebounding off the goalkeeper's back after Harewood' shot hits the post - doubles United's advantage.
Luis Boa Morte, who was to join West Ham the following season gave the hosts hope when halving the deficit on 65 minutes but despite a late onslaught, the Cottagers can't find an equaliser.
