Wolves 4 Leeds United 1 22nd November 2017

Wolves started the brightest out of the two team with plenty of possession of the ball and they managed to take the lead early on with a freekick by Douglas which flew past Lonergan in the Leeds goal to give Wolves a deserved lead in the game.

Wolves kept on attacking the Leeds goal during the game with good chances and they managed to get another with Cavaleiro who worked well with Jota to make it 2-0 giving the team a good solid foundation to build on for the second half of the game.

Leeds United struggled to cope with the periods of pressure by the home side, but they had chances to keep themselves in the game.

Leeds United came out second half with positives and they managed to get back into the game with a goal from Alioski who drilled a shot past Ruddy in the Wolves goal to get one back.

The hope of getting back into the game made difficult when Vieira sent off for a second bookable offence which left Leeds United exposed with problems with a good Wolves attack who can just go and score or even make chances.

Then Jota got Wolves back their two-goal lead when he was set free to score and after that happened Costa made it safe after Leeds United gave a penalty away to give the score line a nice look.

Wolves 2 Leeds United 1 8th May 1972

Playing in front of a crowd that was biggest since Manchester United which happened on the last day in 1967 and Leeds United knowing they had to draw the game to win the league, and this was two days on from winning the fa cup final.

The game started with both teams having chances in the game, but it was the man in the middle causing the problems when an appeal for a penalty turned down with a handball by Shaw and this upset Leeds United players.

When the game was reaching half time, it was Wolves who took the lead in the game when Munro steered the ball in after a scramble from a short corner routine from Wagstaffe who passed it to Shaw.

The game still played at a pace in the second half with Wolves looking for the second goal to try and make the game out of reach for Leeds United did manage it when Richards produced a great through ball for Dougan who then slotted it past Harvey for his 24th goal of the season.

After that Leeds United were constantly attacking the goal trying to get a goal back in the game did get a goal when Madeley produced a cross to Bremner who volleyed into the roof of the net and now their sights were set on getting an equaliser which they needed.

With the game near the end, it was Leeds United so close to an equaliser in the game when a header from Charlton cleared off the line from Taylor.
