Kieran McKenna ‘spotted’ at West Ham, would he be a good appointment?

**Ipswich Town manager was spotted at the London Stadium during their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday, according to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-kieran-mckenna-spotted-in-west-ham-boardroom-in-new-manager-twist/) sources.**

West Ham United’s form has been absolutely awful to start the season and Graham Potter’s job is certainly under threat, so it would make sense for the Hammers to sound out potential replacements.

He is a young, hungry and progressive manager which could be what the Hammers need to get out of this rut they’re currently in. But reports of the former Manchester United youth coach being seen at the London Stadium should to be taken with a pinch of salt.

There is no doubt that McKenna would be on the shortlist to replace Potter, he has done an excellent job with Ipswich getting them promoted twice on the bounce to play in the Premier League for just the sixth season in their history.

They were relegated from the Premier League, however, it was unbelievable that he even got out of the Championship, so relegation really wasn’t much of a dent on his reputation.

Even though McKenna is a great manager, I don’t think he’s the right man for the job at this time. We need a manager who is going to come in and almost call the players out for how they’ve been playing so far this season.

West Ham needs a manager with presence and authority, while McKenna has more of that than Potter, someone like Nuno Espirito Santo would be a better fit.
