It's been quite the week for former Newcastle United defender Lloyd Kelly after scoring a last-gasp equaliser for Juventus in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.

In the sixth minute of added time, Kelly headed home a Dusan Vlahovic cross to make the score 4-4 with just seconds left on the clock. Remarkably, all eight goals in the game came after the 51st minute with the Italian side coming from behind on three occasions.

Kelly's goal was a fitting finale to a dramatic 45 minutes with Karim Adeyemi opening the scoring for Dortmund in the 52nd minute with a brilliant strike, finding the top corner from the edge of the box. Kenan Yildiz equalised for Juventus - with a great finish - but that lead would only last two minutes with Felix Nmecha restoring Dortmund's lead.

Vlahovic slotted home in the 67th minute to restore parity once again, with four goals in just 15 minutes. Yan Couto gave Dortmund the lead once again, before Kelly gave away a penalty in the 86th minute, with the ball hitting his hand inside the area - Ramy Bensebaini scoring from the spot.

The Bundesliga side had a 4-2 lead going into the final few minutes of normal time, before two Juve goals in injury time ensured a share of the spoils. Vlahovic scored in the 94th minute, before turning provider for Kelly in the 96th minute.

Kelly endured a tough start to life at Juve following his January loan move from Newcastle. His move to the Old Lady was made permanent this summer and he's started this season in good form, scoring his first goal for the club at the weekend.

The former Magpies defender scored the opening goal of the game in Juve's 4-3 win over Inter Milan in the Serie A at the weekend, a brilliant finish from inside the area.

Although he's had a tough start to his Juventus career, the Italian media praised Kelly for scoring the all important goal against Dortmund. Calciomercato gave Kelly a rating of 6.5, stating: "The final goal erases all indecision and every mistake, too heavy."

Football Italia also gave the former Magpies defender a 6.5 and said: "A handful in the opposition area, but should have done better for Adeyemi’s opener, and then gave away a penalty for a slightly unfortunate handball. All forgiven for the crazy, last-moment equaliser in injury-time."

Sky Italia were more generous with a rating of 7/10, with Gazetta also giving him that rating, calling the defender a 'true striker'.
