Jason Cundy thinks Chelsea’s Pedro Neto is in such brilliant form that he’s arguing he’s as good as any right-winger in the Premier League right now.
There are several Chelsea players performing at a very high level right now, including Pedro Neto. The 25-year-old attacker has carried over a strong finish to last season straight into the current 2025/26 campaign.
Neto, who’s so dangerous cutting infield from the right wing onto his stronger left foot, has become an ever-present in Enzo Maresca’s side. It definitely helps that the Portugal international sometimes operates on the opposite flank as a left-winger, too.
Last month, Jamie Redknapp suggested Neto was coming good at Chelsea as he begins to find his best form during his second season at Stamford Bridge.

Jason Cundy calls Pedro Neto the Premier League’s best right-winger
According to Jason Cundy, Chelsea speedster Neto is better than any other right-winger across the Premier League right now.
When discussing Blues star Neto, Cundy said via talkSPORT: “He’s as good as any wide man right now in the country. I’m putting him right up there. I can’t think of anyone better… Find me a better wide man out on the right than Neto. I’m waiting.”
In fairness, the Premier League is home to some outstanding wide players.

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah is the obvious benchmark for right-wingers. Even though his overall performances have been quiet by his standards this season, he’s still scored two goals and created one assist in four league appearances.
Elsewhere, Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye deserve a special mention as Premier League right-wingers lighting up the division right now.

Premier League legend Alan Shearer admitted he would love to play alongside Neto because of his directness and delivery.
We’re starting to see the same level of performance that he consistently showed at Wolverhampton Wanderers before his move to West London in 2024. On his day, he’s capable of tormenting any full-back because he’s got it all as a wide player.

Neto’s attacking numbers so far this season certainly don’t tell the full story of how well he’s played.

Without a doubt, Neto belongs in Chelsea’s strongest starting line-up, whether that’s on the right or left wing. It’s why we expect to see him play on Wednesday night during the Champions League showdown away to Bayern Munich.
On top of being an attacking threat, Neto’s work rate and defensive contribution deserves special credit as well.
