Rio Ferdinand has challenged Arsenal fans to reconsider their initial opinions of one Gunners player, following recent performances. The pundit’s comments come after the player, Noni Madueke, impressed after stepping into the right-wing position. Bukayo Saka’s injury provided the opportunity for Madueke to showcase his abilities. His performances for both England and Arsenal have now prompted Ferdinand to speak out.

Rio Ferdinand has called on Arsenal supporters who initially doubted Noni Madueke to apologize. This follows the winger’s impressive start at the Emirates. Madueke’s transfer from Chelsea for £52 million during the summer had raised questions among some fans. They questioned the need for him, given Bukayo Saka’s established role on the right wing.
The 23-year-old began his Arsenal career playing on the left, a less familiar position. However, Bukayo Saka’s hamstring injury created an opening for Madueke on his preferred right side. As a result, he has taken full advantage of the opportunity to impress.

The former PSV Eindhoven star made a significant impact for England during the international break. He scored his first senior international goal. Following that, he delivered a man-of-the-match performance in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest last weekend.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand highlighted Madueke’s impact. He directly addressed Arsenal fans who had been skeptical about the signing. Ferdinand urged them to reassess their opinions based on recent displays.
“I just want to give the haters, the naysayers who were hammering Madueke, a message,” Ferdinand stated. “The starboy Bukayo Saka is out and Madueke has gone over to that right-hand side and said, ‘Guys, I’m going to give you something a bit different… I’m going to show you something.’”
Noni Madueke’s opportunity has arrived due to an injury and he has proven his worth.
