Catch Cally?: What Titans HC Brian Callahan Said Before Wednesday's Practice of Colts Week

**NASHVILLE** – Titans coach Brian Callahan spoke to reporters before Wednesday's practice.

The Titans face the Colts on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.

Some quick snippets on what Callahan said:

\-Callahan noted how well the 2-0 Colts have been playing offensively: "I don't think they've punted, and they've been really, really good moving the ball" with running back Jonathan Taylor, a strong offensive line, some dynamic skill players and a quarterback in Daniel Jones who is playing "really efficient." Defensively, Callahan said the Colts are aggressive, and they've done a good job taking the ball away. Callahan said Indy's special teams group is also "a very good one." The Colts are well coached in all three phases, he said. "We have to go play well," Callahan said.

\-Right tackle JC Latham missed Sunday's game against the Rams with a hip injury, and he'll be monitored during the week.

\-Callahan mentioned Oli Udoh and John Ojukwu as potential replacements for Latham if he can't go. "We'll see how that goes throughout the week," Callahan said. "If (JC) can't go, obviously both Oli and (Ojukwu) have played. We have to find a little bit of continuity there if we can. We'll see how practice goes, and see how those guys do during the week."

\-Callahan said defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat, who also missed Sunday's game vs the Rams with an ankle injury, could potentially return to practice this week as well. "Hopeful to see him get back into the practice mix here this week, hopeful," Callahan said of Sweat. "We'll see how the week plays out. … We'll see ultimately how that shakes out this week, but we'd love to have him back."

\-Callahan said he's been pleased with the work from the starters on the interior of the team's offensive line, from center Lloyd Cushenberry to guards Kevin Zeitler and Peter Skoronski. "You see Cush coming back," Callahan said of Cushenberry, who missed the second half of last season with an Achilles injury. "There is definitely that residual from not practicing over the course of training camp, and getting your strength, and your legs, back. I think every week he has gotten better, and I've been pleased with Cush. … I think Zeitler has been a physical presence for us inside … and Pete has quietly been a pretty strong performer for us both in the run game and the pass game. … I think we can continue to get better, but I have been pretty pleased with those guys so far."

\-Callahan said back-up offensive lineman Blake Hance "is a proven player who can play inside-outside" while also complimenting back-up lineman Corey Levin.

\-Callahan said rookie receiver Elic Ayomanor "has been everything we were hoping he could be" as an X receiver with his size and his strength.
