Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has shared his prediction for Everton’s first Merseyside Derby of the season.
Everton have had a full week to prepare for the Merseyside Derby on the back of their draw at home to Aston Villa.
On the other half of the city, Arne Slot’s Liverpool have a Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening.
David Moyes has already overseen two matches against Liverpool since he returned to Merseyside back in January.
Big changes have been made at both clubs since their last meeting, with Moyes delighted by Everton’s transfer business.
Ahead of the game at Anfield, Liverpool legend Fowler has shared his early prediction for the meeting between the two rivals.

Robbie Fowler shares his Liverpool vs Everton prediction

However, Everton fans know how history panned out, with Fowler going on to score nine times across his numerous Premier League clubs.

Speaking to Everton News columnist Alan Myers on The Added Time podcast, Fowler has already predicted Liverpool to keep their 100% record going in the league.
“I’m calling a home win. I’m not nervous, I think the thing with Liverpool as much as they haven’t been brilliant Alexander Isak could be ready for that game,” he said.
“Will it be an easy game? No, I don’t think it will be. Over the years, I don’t think there have been many easy games as much as Liverpool have had the better results.”
“I can’t see anything other than a Liverpool win. I might be proven wrong.”
“I’m putting it out there, I’m going to go 3-0 [Liverpool].”
Slot has refused to rule Isak out of the Merseyside Derby following his turbulent summer after forcing his way out of Newcastle United.
Everton will not only be after bragging rights of the city, but there is an unbeaten run which Moyes could bring crashing to an end.
David Moyes needs to end unwanted Anfield record
In his 20 visits to Anfield as a manager, Moyes has failed to walk away from the ground with a single victory to his name.

And this is a new look Everton side, with the likes of Roy Keane impressed with Everton’s signings over the summer.
Putting the loss on the opening day aside, Everton have proven to be a difficult team to beat this season.
In contrast, Liverpool have not quite looked at their best, despite their record, and face a midweek test in the Champions League.
Perhaps Saturday is where Moyes ends his Anfield curse.
