Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard should be available for their Premier League clash against Man City on Sunday.
Odegaard missed the Gunners’ first Champions League game of the season, which was a 2-0 win against Athletic Club on Tuesday night. Goals came from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard for Arsenal, both of whom came off the bench.
However, captain Odegaard wasn’t in the squad, as he was unavailable due to a shoulder injury that he suffered against Nottingham Forest. Mikel Arteta was hopeful that he would be available against Bilbao, but it came too soon for the Norway international.
However, he is expected to be available for selection when the Gunners welcome Premier League rivals Man City to the Emirates on Sunday.
Expected return date: Sunday 21 September vs Man City (H)
