A lot of talk this week has been about Leeds United attackers and their performances this season. Since the first game of the season, Lukas Nmecha is the only attacker in the team that has scored a goal.
Daniel Farke’s side have failed to find the back of the net in three of their five games in all competitions. The Leeds boss is not pleased, and voiced out his concerns about the quality in that area of the team. Fans are also displeased with the 49ers failure to bring in a reliable goalscorer front.

There is one player at Elland Road who can find the back of the net this season – Harry Gray. The striker has netted six goals in all competitions so far, the latest being a hat-trick in the National League cup.

Gray scored all the goals in the 3-1 win over Scunthorpe. The performance was even more breath-taking; he scored from a cutback, curled in a free kick and slammed one home from outside the box – a complete display.

When asked about his thoughts on the win, and the performance, this is what the teenager had to say:
“I’m happy with the three goals, but I should have had more to be fair. Two chances I missed, so I can always improve,” Gray said to LUTV.
“It was good to have different types of goals you can score too, it makes your game unpredictable. So yeah, it was important to score, but goals are goals at the end of the day, I don’t care how I score them as long as we win.
“[Winning] was definitely important tonight, because we’ve had some decent performances against professional first teams and had nothing really to show for it.”
Leeds United fans will not see him in the first team anytime soon
Unfortunately for Leeds fans, their calls for him to be in the squad this weekend will not come true anytime soon. Daniel Farke has already said before the season began that the club have a plan for him. Leeds are prioritizing his development and keeping him away from the noise surrounding the club.
Maybe he makes a few cameos later in the season, but for now, he will continue with the U21 squad.
