A Tier: The Real Deal

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After two close wins against Atlanta and Houston, this team is on fire. Baker Mayfield looks as great as the year prior, and young talent like Bucky Irving and first rounder Emeka Egbuka, look elite after week 2.

As this team continues this season, it is hard to not view them as the clear winners of the NFC North and a dark horse to go far in this year’s playoffs.

Washington Commanders

This Commanders team is having a rough go so far this season. Jayden Daniels could possibly be out for multiple weeks and they lost Ekeler to an Achilles tear.

Despite injuries, this defensive unit has taken a leap from last year, and with offensive pieces Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin, it’s hard to remove them from the top 10 in the rankings.

Kansas City Chiefs

Although the Chiefs have started 0-2 this season, they are still an elite team. It is hard to ever count Mahomes and Reid out and they still are missing some key pieces in Rice and Worthy due to injury and suspension.

In two close losses to playoff teams, it would be wrong to give up on the Chiefs quite yet, because they seem to always find a way.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams look great to start the season. Stafford’s connection with Puka and Adams are getting better each week and this defense looks better than last year.

With a 2-0 start, it’s hard to not see the Rams as a top team. Expect them to make a huge playoff push this season.

Los Angeles Chargers

This team looks fantastic. Quinten Johnston has finally fixed his drop issues, Herbert is playing like an MVP candidate and this defense is on fire.

After beating two division rivals and the best team in the league over the last decade, this team is in it to win it this season.

S Tier: Super Bowl Ready

Detroit Lions

Despite a tough loss to the Packers week one, they came back and showed this offense still has elite fire power.

After putting up 52 on the Bears, they proved that they are still dominant in this league and are a top team week in and week out.

Philadelphia Eagles

After two ugly wins, this team is yet to replicate their super bowl run performance. The passing game is abysmal and Saquon is not replicating his historic 2024 season.

Although this team is still a top tier contender, they are consistently pulling away in tight games, and this defense is still top tier, as they shut down the cowboys passing attack and the Chiefs offense overall. Their ability to stick out gritty games makes them a consistent contender and a top team in the league.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have looked phenomenal to start the season. This defense is elite outside of a frustrating loss to the Bills and this rushing attack with Lamar and Henry in the backfield looks like possibly the best run game duo of all time.

This past Sunday they were able to put up 41 on the Browns defense, a unit that is the only highlight of this struggling franchise. Their super bowl ready ceiling and elite rushing attack keeps them at the top of the power rankings this week.

Green Bay Packers

This Packers team looks the best they have since their last Superbowl win. Matt LaFleur has perfectly developed Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs is on the biggest hot streak of his career with a 10 game streak with a touchdown.

The Parsons trade was the cherry on top to creating a super bowl ready franchise in Green Bay and these first two weeks have proved the Pack is a top team in the league.

Buffalo Bills

This team has shown up and showed out to start the season, as they always do. James Cook has taken another leap this year and has proven he is an elite back and Josh Allen looks like the MVP front runner again.

It’s too early to say this, but then again, this is a perfect list, the Bills look like they will be the team to hoist the Lombardi at the end of the 25-26 season.
