As with every NFL team, the Falcons have several key players banged up as we head into Week 3.

As of now, the big ones to watch are A.J. Terrell, James Pearce Jr., and Charlie Woerner.
Terrell left Sunday’s game and did not return. Given the lingering nature of hamstring injuries, it’s likely he’s not going to suit up against the Panthers this weekend. Rahem Morris called him week-to-week.
In Terrell’s place, Dee Alford filled in admirably against the Vikings. He’ll likely get the start come Sunday, but Morris also hinted we could see Clark Phillips III, Natrone Brooks, and even some guys currently rostered on the practice squad.
The Falcons don’t have a lot of inspiring options. Cornerback is arguably the thinnest position group on the roster, which means the pass rush needs to continue to get after the quarterback. A dominant pass rush can mask a lot deficiencies on the backend, so Pearce’s status must be monitored closely. He was dealing with this same issue last week and played, recording his first career NFL sack. Hopefully, that’s the case again for Week 3.
On the offensive side, Charlie Woerner is battling an ankle injury. The veteran tight end has been an unsung hero for Atlanta’s offense, serving primarily as a run blocker. When the ground game is rolling — as it was against the Vikings, when the Falcons racked up 218 rushing yards — Woerner is usually a big part of the reason why.
