Jordan Love delivers honest opinion on Packers teammates after concerning injury news

The Green Bay Packers are undefeated through two weeks in the 2025 NFL regular season, but they are not without issues. For one, health has been a concern for the team, including in their wide receiver room.

Green Bay absorbed another blow on that front in Week 2, when wideout Jayden Reed sustained a shoulder injury while trying to complete a catch in the end zone in the first quarter of a Thursday Night Football matchup against the visiting Washington Commanders at Lambeau Field.

Reed will be out for several weeks, reportedly six to eight, after going under the knife to address not just his shoulder injury but a foot fracture that he sustained during Green Bay’s training camp in the offseason.

With that, Reed joins Christian Watson on the sidelines, as the latter remains on the PUP list, as he continues his journey back to action after suffering a major knee injury in Green Bay’s regular-season finale against the Chicago Bears in the 2024 campaign.

Despite Reed’s absence, Packers quarterback Jordan Love has complete trust in the remaining healthy bodies in the team’s wide receiver unit.

“I think J-Reed’s one-of-one,” Love said following Green Bay’s practice on Wednesday, as per Mike Spofford of the Packers’ official website. “He’ll be missed. But we’ve got a lot of guys in that receiver room who can step up, who’ve played a lot of good minutes and this won’t be their first time getting in there.”

Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, rookie Matthew Golden, Savion Williams and Malik Heath make up the healthy wide receivers group at the moment for Green Bay, which is 12th in the league with an average of 228.5 passing yards per game, thus far this season.
