“Another world” – Explanation for player’s explosion after Manchester City exit

Kevin de Bruyne has enjoyed a flying start to life at Napoli thanks to the warm Italian weather and leaving the “cold English weather” at Manchester City behind.

That’s according to Carlo Jacomuzzi, [via Area Napoli](https://www.areanapoli.it/interviste/il-napoli-come-fermera-haaland-la-battuta-di-jacomuzzi-e-la-scommessa-su-conte_606759.html), who believed a change of climate has helped the Belgian midfielder to explode.

De Bruyne is set to return to Manchester City tomorrow as Napoli travel to the Etihad to kick off their Champions League campaign.

He returns to his former club in fine form after a flying start to life in Serie A with Napoli, scoring two goals in three games to date.

The midfielder moved to Italy on a free transfer in the summer after bringing his ten year stay with Manchester City to an end after winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, the Champions League and various other trophies as well as a plethora of personal accolades.

He’s very much a Manchester City legend but had endured a difficult end to his time at the club as various injuries limited his time on the pitch.

Now he appears to be flying at Napoli, leading to Jacomuzzi being asked if City let him go too early. He, though, insists it’s a change of climate that’s seen the Belgian explode.

“Was De Bruyne discarded too soon? No that’s not the case. It’s just that in England, when an employment relationship ends, it’s done without too many second thoughts,” he explained on Radio Punto Nuovo.

“Maybe the player wanted a change of scenery and did so without making a big deal out of it, unlike here in Italy.

“Then there’s the fact that when someone arrives in Naples from Manchester, from the English cold, they explode because it’s another world and another climate.”
