Former Tottenham Hotspur player Jamie O'Hara continues to call for the return of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United as a replacement for Ruben Amorim.
Solskjaer is currently without a club after being sacked by Besiktas late last month after losing a Conference League play-off tie to Lausanne-Sport, who are coincidently also owned by Ineos like United. They drew 1-1 in Switzerland, but the visitors won 1-0 in Istanbul a week later.
That was his first head coaching role since being sacked by United in November 2021. Solskjaer spent over three years away from management, but took charge of just 29 matches.
A day after his departure, O'Hara suggested that United should return for their former manager. Speaking about Amorim before the Burnley match, the pundit said on Sky Sports News: "Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ain't the worst shout in the world.
"He can come in, he can be a stopgap manager, interim manager, get players back onside." O'Hara explained: "I believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, if you get him back in, go back to the formation that they were playing before, get the players back onside, give them a bit of freedom, and I think they can maybe just calm everything down."
Weeks later, O'Hara has doubled down on that stance. "I can't believe Ruben Amorim is still in charge," he said on talkSPORT.
"When are they going to let it go? When are they going to just… do what Sheffield United have done, just swallow their pride [and say] 'we got this wrong?'
"Get Ole back in. They can't carry on doing this. They'll go down. They'll be playing Rotherham next season."
Sheffield United recently relieved Ruben Selles of his duties and appointed Chris Wilder three months after the latter mutually agreed to leave the Championship club, with the former replacing him.
