Slaven Bilic has emerged as a serious contender to make a shock return to West Ham United to replace Graham Potter, according to GIVEMESPORT correspondent Ben Jacobs.
The Hammers have had a poor start to their season under Potter this season with three defeats from their opening four games in the Premier League, while they were also eliminated from the Carabao Cup in the second round.
That has seen the English coach come under increasing pressure from the fans, and it has now emerged that owner David Sullivan has a preference if he is forced to replace him in the near future.
West Ham Eyeing Shock Bilic Return
Former West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic
Bilic, who was in charge of West Ham between 2015 and 2017, is someone who has a great relationship with the Irons owners and that could be something that goes in his favour should the role become available.
According to talkSPORT, he is now a shock contender to take over as Potter is under increasing pressure following the recent 3-0 thrashing at the hands of rivals Tottenham Hotspur this past weekend.
No decision has yet been made on the future of Potter, but a poor result against Crystal Palace this weekend could see the club forced to look elsewhere for someone to lead the team.
GIVEMESPORT's Ben Jacobs reports that Sullivan favours going with Bilic if he is to make a change, but he isn't the only candidate who has been discussed.
Former Everton and Burnley boss Sean Dyche has also been spoken about, while recently sacked Nuno Espirito Santo is also someone being considered as a potential target. Both are free agents and would be available to come in immediately too, while they also have more recent experience of the Premier League.
