Pedro Porro has quietly established himself as one of the standout full-backs in the Premier League this season, with underlying numbers placing the Tottenham man at the very top of key statistical categories across the division.
Tottenham Hotspur’s domestic form this season compared with last season is night and day under new manager Thomas Frank.
The Dane already has Tottenham up 14 places compared with last season, with Spurs sitting third after four matchweeks, which marks a clear improvement on their 17th-place finish in the Premier League last term.
Not only has the new manager improved the team’s collective output, but underlying statistics now show that he is also elevating the performances of individuals within his squad.

Statistics from Datamb have now revealed that when compared with other full-backs in the Premier League, Tottenham’s Porro ranks first across ten different areas of the game.
According to the outlet, no full-back has a better return when it comes to defensive duels won, possessions won, progressive actions, crosses, forward passes, long passes completed, progressive passes completed, progressive passes (PAdj), passes into the final third, and passes into the penalty box.
