From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Chris Eubank Jr has revealed that his father will be there ‘when it counts’ for his rematch with Conor Benn on November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Speaking after the launch press conference that his dad did not attend, he said Sr will be present to support him on fight night, but will have no more involvement than in the first fight.

Eubank Jr told The Ring: “He will be there when it counts. In terms of my training and my camp, he’s not been a part of that part of my life for a long time, so I don’t see that changing.”

Ahead of their first fight, Eubank Sr was vehemently against it even happening, publicly damning the fight and his son as a "disgrace".

Eubank Sr and his son had been long estranged at this point, but Sr implored the public and media to get the fight cancelled, saying that the weight stipulations were putting his son’s life in danger.

But in one of the moments of the year, Eubank Sr reached out to his son the day before the fight. Eubank Sr subsequently made a dramatic entrance to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium alongside his son to watch the unanimous decision victory and triumphantly lifted Eubank Jr in a moment of celebration and reconciliation after the final bell.

There were questions over whether or not Eubank Sr would be present at the press conference, but Eubank Jr only had his promoter Ben Shalom, and two coaches, Brian “BoMac’ McIntyre and Esau Dieguez, by his side.

Although his father will be there on fight night, Eubank Jr had previously explained that his father was still against a rematch or even seeing him fight again.

Eubank Jr said on Loose Women: “My father wasn't going to come to the first one, he called me the night before and our relationship has grown since then, but he doesn't want me to get back into the ring.

"He's still worried even though I won the first fight. I was in hospital for a few days and he doesn't want me to go through that again. For this fight, I think he's going to be a lot more supportive."
