Tottenham fans have been waiting to see Dominic Solanke return to action since August.
Solanke ended Spurs’ 2-0 win over Manchester City with an ankle injury after being sidelined for most of pre-season with the same issue.
Richarlison has since been Tottenham’s starting striker and has impressed Thomas Frank and fans with his performances.
But the days could be ticking down before Spurs supporters see Solanke reclaim his spot as Tottenham’s number one striker.

Dominic Solanke returns to Tottenham training – but not fully fit
Tottenham take on Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday and will no doubt be looking to extend their winning streak.
MORE SPURS STORIES
Michael Bridge, speaking via Sky Sports News on Thursday, revealed that the striker is back in training at Hotspur Way. However, he may not be available to face the Seagulls.
He said: “Some potentially very good news for Thomas Frank and Tottenham, as Dominic Solanke is back training.
“However, he’s right on the other side doing some individual work. That tells me it’s unlikely he’s feature against Brighton.”
Solanke netted nine goals in the Premier League last season
The Englishman completed 71 per cent of his passes and 73 per cent of his long balls
Only 25 per cent of his crosses were accurate
Nevertheless, Frank will be pleased to have Solanke as an option over the next couple of match days.

Who is Tottenham’s best striker?
There have been ongoing discussions around who should start for Frank upfront since Randal Kolo Muani signed for Tottenham from PSG on loan on deadline day.
Meanwhile, Richarlison’s brace for Tottenham against Burnley and stellar performance against Manchester City has made him a difficult player to drop. However, based on their performances last season, the Lilywhites have a clear winner when all are fit.
If comparing Richarlison’s 2025/26 season with the others’ 2024/25 season, Kolo Muani seems to be the most complete out of the bunch.
He edges both players in non-penalty goals with 86.7 per 90. Meanwhile, his conversion rate appears miles ahead, converting 97.3 per cent of his chances.

In comparison, Richarlison has converted 62.7 per cent of his goals to Solanke’s 69.7 per cent.
However, the Brazilian trumps the other two in expected goals with 73.9 per 90 as well as aerial duels won, which came in at 57.7 per cent. Solanke did not come out on top in any of the statistics analysed.
While it is tight between Kolo Muani and Richarlison, Spurs’ new signing seems like the best and most complete option for Frank this season.
Either way, Frank does not have to worry about Solanke missing one more game if that is the case.
