**Newcastle United will have a very special guest of honour at tonight's game at St James' Park as they take on Barcelona in the Champions League.**
It has been 28 years since the Magpies and Barcelona last met in this competition under the lights at St James' Park in what was one of the club's most magical nights.
Barcelona lined up on that night with legendary players Luis Figo, Luis Enrique and Rivaldo, and while Luis Figo and Luis Enrique found the net for the visitors, it was one man who made the difference for Newcastle United.
Faustino Asprilla, the leggy Colombian with the mesmerising bag of tricks and the crazy vertical leap that would pay dividends on this night.

Faustino Asprilla delivered a message that gave us goosebumps
-------------------------------------------------------------
Asprilla was one of those Kevin Keegan signings who just took The Entertainers to another level. Often frustrating and dubbed 'lazy', the striker turned it up to 11 on 17th September 1997.
The man himself will be at St James' Park again tonight as Eddie Howe's Newcastle United hope to emulate what Kenny Dalglish's boys did 28 years ago, and the Colombian delivered a message to the lads via Newcastle's social media today with a passionate speech ending in those three words we love to see:
> "GET INTO THEM!"
Can this game even be overhyped?
--------------------------------
It's probably too much to expect the sides to deliver the same quality of game as that night, but we're pretty sure that the atmosphere will live up to all of the expectations.
If the fans inside the ground can deliver that noise, then that can only help the lads on the pitch to deliver the excitement.
Roll on 8pm! HOWAY THE LADS!
