Leeds man’s ‘coming into his own’ – Management convinced he’s ‘about to explode’

Matteo Joseph is quickly winning fans at new club Mallorca early on, after arriving on loan from Leeds United this summer.

That’s according to Ultima Hora, who cover the Leeds striker today and the positive impression he’s already making at his new club.

They report that the 21-year-old is ‘coming into his own’ early on at the Spanish club after arriving at the club late int eh summer transfer window.

They say that Mallorca manager Jagoba Arrasate has faith in the youngster, who has rewarded that in terms of effort. He recently made his third appearance as a starter and, although he’s goalless so far, he’s taken advantage of the opportunities given to him.

He appears to be working well and had shown that he can contribute in every way. It is his attitude and commitment which have made the biggest impression, particularly as the Spanish club is going through a difficult period and a ‘sporting crisis’.

He will need to improve his goalscoring record at some point, but it’s a known issue given he arrived from Leeds with just four goals to his name.

A need to improve his relationship with goals is something that needs working on, and that was made clear to him before he arrived from Leeds.

But the sporting management and Arrasate both believe the Leeds loanee is ‘about to explode’ and hope it will happen at some point this season.
