Exclusive: What Bournemouth are now planning as Adoni Iraola to Man United links intensify

Bournemouth insist they are not worried about Adoni Iraola’s future despite fresh links with Manchester United and are working on a new deal for the highly-rated Spaniard, TBR Football understands.

Iraola has impressed hugely since arriving at the Vitality Stadium in 2023, guiding Bournemouth to ninth place last season.

Iraola’s performance on the South Coast has caught the attention of a number of clubs and he has been constantly linked with jobs in recent months.

Bailey said: “Bournemouth have always deflected the attention in Iraola insisting they see him signing a new deal – but that is becoming more of a situation.

“Iraola’s current deal expires next summer and now Bournemouth, without piling pressure on the 43-year-old, are pushing him to sit down for talks.

“We understand Pinto has told his Bournemouth bosses that he is hopeful that Iraola will commit.”

“Yes, I think I’ve said it a lot of times, I’m very happy here,” he told the Bournemouth Echo. “It’s the third year, we’re starting the third season.

“But I think it’s an important season for me personally also I think it’s a big challenge, the one we have ahead.

“We have still one year of contract. Maybe you are wanting to sack me in three months. You never know how football works.”
