Everton are looking to finally get a result at Anfield on Saturday as they take on Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.

While the Toffees go into the fixture on good form, Liverpool have now won their past five matches in all competitions.

Jack Grealish could well be key to an Everton victory, with the winger on fire so far this campaign.

Everton’s last win at Anfield coming in 2021, it would no doubt be a historic victory if the Toffees can see it out.

Equally, plenty could go wrong if David Moyes’ side on the day.

Everton need to avoid a defeat at Anfield to prevent 90+ year record

While Everton will be confident going into the match, they will need to be at 100 per cent to get a result.

However, if the Toffees lose to Liverpool, a feat will be matched that hasn’t been seen since 1937.

According to BBC Sport on 18 September, the Reds have won their past four home matches in a row against Everton.

If they make it five on Saturday, it will be the first time this has happened since 1937.

Everton are looking to end their awful record at Anfield on Saturday

This cannot be allowed to happen, as it would be humiliating for both Everton and Moyes.

Given the form that the Toffees have produced this season, a result would be a real statement of intent.

Moyes must ensure this happens, or their campaign could quickly unravel.

Everton’s recent record at Anfield is appalling

As it stands, Everton’s recent record at Anfield is appalling.

The Toffees have only won one of their last 28 matches at their former ground.

On top of this, Sofascore shows that Moyes’ record against Liverpool isn’t much better.

However, so far this season, Everton have been achieving numerous feats, and if there was ever a time to spot the rot, it would be on Saturday.

Hopefully, Moyes and Grealish can be the inspiration the visitors need to get a famous result.
