West Ham boss Graham Potter has spoken to the media ahead of the Hammers’ clash with [Crystal Palace](https://www.claretandhugh.info/crystal-palace-bio/) this weekend. Despite what must have been a miserable week, the Irons boss was in surprisingly upbeat mood – but he had some less-than-ideal news regarding Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Wan-Bissaka was absent from the side that suffered a heavy defeat to Spurs last weekend. Along with the omission of Jean-Clair Todibo from the matchday squad, speculation quickly mounted over their absence.

Wan Bissaka will not play for West Ham against Crystal Palace
Potter has now clarified the situation with Wan-Bissaka, though he offered no such clarity on Todibo. He explained:
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka will still be unavailable. It’s a problem with his stomach. Hopefully he’ll be in light training on Friday or the weekend. Apart from that, Callum Wilson has had a full week’s training as has Niclas Fullkrug.”
The absence of last season’s Hammer of the Year should not be a huge concern given Kyle Walker-Peters’ impressive displays in his last two starts.
What remains unclear, however, is whether Potter will choose to start a striker against Palace. Despite both Wilson and Fullkrug being fit and available last weekend, the West Ham manager opted to go without a centre-forward from the start against Spurs.
