Amorim & Man Utd coaches thrilled with performances of 18yo winger in first-team training

Manchester United teenage sensation Shea Lacey trained with the Red Devils first-team today and yesterday, according to United insider Sully.

Man United head coach Ruben Amorim and other coaches were impressed with the performances of the 19-year-old winger.

Lacey also trained with the Man United first-team last week too, which was why he has not been recently involved with the under-21s after making his debut for them last month under head coach Travis Binnion.

The English youngster first trained with the senior team aged 16, but injuries restricted his progress last term.

Lacey was not included in the under-21s squad which lost 2-1 to Brackley Town on Tuesday in their opening game of the National League Cup.

It left some Man United fans fearing he had got injured again, but he had only been training with the big boys.

He has yet to debut for the first-team, but he could be closer and would likely get a chance to make his official Red Devils bow sooner rather than later.

However, Lacey needs to prove his fitness going forward given how unfortunate he has been with injuries in recent months.

Amorim has much-needed attacking depth after bolstering his squad in the summer with three additions in the position, and Lacey will need to show he has what it takes to make an impact on the big stages to force his way into the first-team.
