Just in: £470,000-a-week trio ruled out for Man Utd v Brentford

Manchester United will be without winger Amad Diallo for their Premier League trip to Brentford on Saturday afternoon, according to reports - with the winger having time off the pitch due to a family bereavement.

The Red Devils won 2-1 at home to Chelsea last weekend to turn their poor form around, leaving them with seven points from five games in the Premier League, thanks to first-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, after Blues goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was given his marching orders inside five minutes. However, Brentford will represent a different test for Ruben Amorim.

The report by ESPN journalist Rob Dawson states that Diallo won't be available for United's game against Brentford on Saturday lunchtime. The Ivorian has been given time off due to a family bereavement, and so he won't take part in the clash in west London, with Diogo Dalot likely to come into their ranks on the right-hand side of Amorim's midfield.

Elsewhere, Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui is also unavailable, prompting further trouble on the right for the Red Devils, and veteran midfielder Casemiro is suspended after his red card vs Chelsea last week. That sees £470,000-a-week's worth of players ruled out, which Amorim will have to navigate successfully to try to record his first back-to-back Premier League wins since taking over as boss.
