Wrexham were linked with a number of strikers during the summer transfer window, with one such player being Patrick Bamford.
Wrexham desperately needed to add some quality firepower to their ranks this summer, and they eventually did so with a number of signings in attack.
In particular, Josh Windass and Kieffer Moore are proving to be very good signings for the Dragons, with the two already well among the goals.
Windass scored twice in Wrexham’s win over Norwich City last time out, with three in three league games, compared to Moore who has four in six.
Patrick Bamford was someone who Phil Parkinson considered throughout the summer and indeed throughout the year. But he’s now looking likely to head to Spain.

Patrick Bamford closing in on La Liga move after Wrexham interest
Reports claimed that Wrexham were interested in signing Bamford throughout the summer transfer window, after the one-time former England striker fell right down the pecking order at Leeds United following promotion to the Premier League.
Then out of nowhere, Bamford saw his Leeds United contract terminated ahead of deadline day. After several weeks without a club, and with links to clubs around the world, Bamford now looks like he’s closing in on a move to Getafe.
The Athletic reported this week that Getafe, who sit in 7th place of the La Liga table after six games, six points behind 2nd place Barcelona and eight behind leaders Real Madrid, are in advanced talks to sign the 32-year-old Bamford, who has an impressive 134 goals in his career so far.

MORE WREXHAM STORIES
Which other strikers did Wrexham miss out on this summer?
There were a horde of players linked with a move to the Racecourse in the summer. In the end, Wrexham signed 13 new players and spent over £30million. But there were a number of players who missed out on a move to North Wales.
Few were strikers, though. Jamie Vardy was linked with Wrexham throughout the summer but he eventually moved to Italy with Cremonese in Serie A.
Elsewhere, Danny Ings was also linked with a move to Wrexham. The former England man eventually signed for Sheffield United but has since picked up an injury having featured just once.
In Moore and Windass, Parkinson has two very good strikers who clearly suit his system, so missing out on names like Bamford doesn’t seem like such a blow.
