2nd High Profile Manager Has Now Signalled He‘Would Take’Man United Job Following Xavi Hernandez’s Claims

**Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner “would take” the Man United job if it was offered to him, according to _talkSPORT_ reporter Ben Jacobs.**

It has already been confirmed that former Barcelona head coach Xavi is keen on [**replacing Ruben Amorim**](https://manunews.com/blog/man-unired-news-five-favourites-to-replace-ruben-amorim/) but Jacobs claims that Glasner is also very much in the frame:

“My information is that if Oliver Glasner was offered the Manchester United job, he would take it in a heartbeat.”

“As a consequence, Manchester United will feel there are quality managers, and some with Premier League experience, that will be willing to move. There are options closer to home.”

“I don’t think Glasner playing a similar system to Ruben Amorim will really put off Manchester United.”

Glasner has not denied the rumours

----------------------------------

The Austrian has already stated that he is very much “aware” of the speculation linking him with the manager’s position at Old Trafford.

Glasner was noncommittal when discussing whether he would take the job, stating that he would be “staying neutral and completely calm” about the situation.

A lot may hinge on whether United want another proponent of the three-man defence if do decide to sack Amorim over the coming days and weeks.

Will Man United change the man in the dugout?

---------------------------------------------

While speculation has reached fever pitch since the 3-1 defeat to Brentford last weekend, Amorim will be in charge when the Red Devils take on Sunderland next.

The 40-year-old retains the full backing of the board but anything less than a win against the Black Cats could spell trouble.

With the international break coming up, it would be a good time to replace Amorim, so you do feel that the result at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon will have a major bearing on his future.
