Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner would take the Manchester United job ‘in a heartbeat’, GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs has revealed.
The 'incredible' Austrian tactician would reportedly be open to the opportunity of replacing Ruben Amorim in the Old Trafford dugout and is one of several Premier League head coaches United admire.
While the club are still backing Amorim to turn the situation around amid a dire start to the Premier League season, with two wins in six games, United are believed to be looking at potential names who could replace the Portuguese manager in the future.
Glasner, as well as Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, is being considered and could be available at the end of the season when his contract with Palace runs out.

According to Jacobs, Man United are unlikely to be put off by the fact that Glasner is playing a similar system to Amorim at Crystal Palace:
“My information is that if Glasner was offered the Manchester United job, he would take it in a heartbeat.
“And as a consequence, Manchester United will feel there are quality managers, and some with Premier League experience, that may be prepared to move.
“Let’s not forget Andoni Iraola hasn’t signed a new deal at Bournemouth yet, and is believed to have a release clause. Marco Silva’s contract is also understood to have a release clause too.
“So there are options for Manchester United closer to home and I don’t think Glasner playing a similar system to Ruben Amorim will really put off Manchester United.”
Glasner, who took over as Palace boss in February 2024, led the Eagles to FA Cup glory last season, the club’s first major trophy in history.
Palace also lifted the Community Shield after a victory over Liverpool at Wembley and are currently on an impressive 18-game unbeaten run across all competitions.
The south London side are sitting third in the Premier League after six games, five points above Man United, who have slumped to 14th following their 3-1 loss at Brentford on Saturday.
United have yet to win back-to-back league games under Amorim, who took over as manager in November last year and is approaching his 50th game in charge this weekend – a home clash with Sunderland.
