Former Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has previously delivered a ringing endorsement of Reds-linked Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner.
Current United chief Ruben Amorim is facing mounting pressure after Saturday's 3-1 loss at Brentford. According to the Manchester Evening News, Amorim still has the support of United's hierarchy for now, but speculation about his future continues to make headlines.
Amorim has managed just 34 points from a possible 99 in the Premier League since taking charge. United bosses were compelled to clarify his position after last month's Carabao Cup embarrassment against Grimsby Town.
This comes as reports suggest United have drawn up a three-man shortlist to potentially succeed the former Sporting manager if matters fail to improve.
Former England boss Gareth Southgate, Andoni Iraola and Glasner are reportedly being considered as pressure intensifies on Amorim to halt United's worrying slide.

Rangnick, who struggled during his own interim stint at Old Trafford in 2021/22, has previously given an extremely favourable review of Glasner's managerial credentials, reports the Manchester Evening News.
"For me, Oliver Glasner is currently one of the most exciting coaches - not only in Germany, but in all of Europe. An absolute top coach," Rangnick told LAOLA1 in March 2023.
Glasner has received widespread acclaim for his sterling work at Palace, who are currently enjoying an 18-match unbeaten run across all competitions.

The Eagles clinched the FA Cup last season in a thrilling upset against Manchester City, and followed it up with a Community Shield triumph over Liverpool in August.
The South London outfit also notched another victory over Arne Slot's side on Saturday, putting an end to their undefeated start to the campaign.

Rumours are now swirling about a potential approach for Glasner before the season concludes, given that the Austrian tactician employs a similar three-at-the-back system to Amorim.
