An emerging talent in the Manchester United youth academy will remain at Old Trafford after his move away from the Premier League club collapsed, according to stunning reports.
Manchester United will return to Premier League action on Saturday against Sunderland and Ruben Amorim is under scrutiny going into the fixture.
The Red Devils are now 14th in the Premier League table and will host Sunderland at Old Trafford, with the fifth-place Black Cats four points clear of United.
United suffered their latest setback under Ruben Amorim on the weekend after the Red Devils’ visit to the Gtech Community Stadium for their clash with Brentford.
Brentford came out on top against United on Saturday afternoon and the Bees sealed all three Premier League points with a 3-1 win over the Red Devils.

Man Utd academy talent Sam Mather will remain at Old Trafford after transfer talks with Al Wahda FC fell through
Sam Mather came through the ranks of the Manchester United youth academy and the 21-year-old winger had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester Evening News, clubs in Germany, Sweden and Turkey were all linked with Red Devils prospect Sam Mather during the summer window.
Teams in the aforementioned countries made ‘enquiries’ for the former Rochdale and Tranmere Rovers player, but a move for Mather failed to materialise in the end.
However, there was interest in Mather from clubs in Abu Dhabi and UAE Pro League outfit Al Wahda FC had shown a desire to sign the United talent.
The MEN has now reported that ‘talks’ between United and Al Wahda FC came to an end over Mather, who was only called up for United first-team training last week.

What could Man Utd and Al Wahda FC not agree on over Sam Mather’s transfer away from Old Trafford?
The MEN newspaper has claimed that a ‘deadline’ had been set by United for Al Wahda FC to agree to their terms on the weekend or the deal would be off.
The Red Devils ‘insisted’ on a buyback clause in the transfer of Sam Mather, with the publication suggesting that it is a ‘common practice’ with United academy talent.
However, it has been revealed that Al Wahda FC would ‘not agree’ to United’s proposal and the UAE Pro League side withdrew their interest in signing the player.
BBC Sport, on the other hand, has suggested another factor played into the reason why United reached ‘no agreement’ with the Abu Dhabi-based side for Mather.
The news outlet claims that United wanted to include a ‘potential sell-on clause’ for Mather, who has not made a senior appearance for the Red Devils in his career.
