Man Utd loanee Andre Onana hits awful numbers in two game spell for Trabzonspor that his assist cannot mask

Manchester United loanee Andre Onana is settling in to life on loan at Trabzonspor, with mixed fortunes.

Ruben Amorim decided he had enough of Andre Onana after Manchester United’s embarrassing cup exit at the hands of Grimsby Town.

The two goals Onana conceded were the last in a series of errors he made at United, before he was sent out on loan to Trabzonspor.

Onana’s exit has given him a fresh start, but it has not been completely smooth since arriving at Trabzonspor.

Andre Onana saves 0 shots in two games

Andre Onana hit the headlines when he provided an assist for Trabzonspor with a long pass upfield to a teammate.

It showcased his passing ability that Manchester United rarely saw, but even now, his shot-stopping has continued to prove flawed.

Data provided via Sofascore shows that over the past two games, Andre Onana has failed to save a single shot he has faced – conceding four goals.

His performance rating during these two games has been a lowly 6.15/10, despite providing an assist.

Goalkeeper problems persist at Manchester United

Andre Onana is out of sight at Manchester United, but the goalkeeping problems at the club still persist.

Ruben Amorim has been sticking by Onana’s deputy Altay Bayindir, who has not kept a clean sheet since September 2024, against Barnsley.

Bayindir performed poorly at the weekend against Brentford, and former United goalkeeper Tim Howard believes it is time he was dropped.

Manchester United signed Senne Lammens to compete for the goalkeeper spot, and most fans expected him to be Andre Onana’s replacement.

Lammens is yet to play a minute for the Red Devils, with Amorim selecting the uninspiring Bayindir in his place.

United fans have known for a while that neither Onana or Bayindir were the answer. The former continues to look shaky at Trabzonspor, and the latter is blowing his big chance at United.

It is time for Lammens to take over, and for Amorim to put his trust in United’s scouts.
