Everton play host to Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend.
After three games without a win, Everton will be desperate to get back into the win column at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday.
Crystal Palace are tough opponents, though, as they’re the only side left in the league yet to taste defeat this season.
Palace have wind in their sails after defeating Liverpool in stoppage time last weekend, so the Toffees will need to be on their A game.
With that said, ahead of Sunday’s clash, the Premier League have just made an official announcement that may concern David Moyes a little.

Michael Salisbury appointed referee for Everton vs Crystal Palace
The Premier League have announced that referee Michael Salisbury will be placed in charge of Everton’s game against Crystal Palace this weekend.
Referee: Michael Salisbury
Assistants: Marc Perry, Steve Meredith
Fourth official: John Busby
VAR: Craig Pawson
Assistant VAR: Nick Hopton
Moyes may be a little concerned at that, as Salisbury was dropped by PGMOL earlier this season for making a blunder in Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Fulham.

The official incorrectly disallowed a perfectly good Fulham goal, so Howard Webb and his chiefs took him off VAR duty for Liverpool versus Arsenal.

Michael Salisbury’s record with Everton
Salisbury has only ever taken charge of two Everton games throughout his career, and both ended in wins for the Toffees.
The official oversaw Everton’s 4-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League last season.
He also took charge of the 3-0 win against Burnley in the third round of the Carabao Cup in November 2023.
Salisbury only showed two yellow cards in these fixtures, so the data suggests he could be a good omen for the Toffees.
