Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has recently been linked with Man United. But a move to Old Trafford doesn’t seem very close at the moment.
Oliver Glasner is working wonders at Selhurst Park this season, with his Crystal Palace side currently sitting in 2nd place of the Premier League table.
Last time out, Crystal Palace beat Liverpool 2-1 and they now head into Europe to take on Dynamo Kyiv in a Conference League clash on Thursday night.
Ahead of the game, though, there have been reports that Man United could consider hiring Glasner if they eventually sack Ruben Amorim.
As things stand, the Red Devils sit in 14th place of the Premier League table after another slow start to the campaign.

Crystal Palace need to match Oliver Glasner ambitions amid Man United links
Speaking to We Are Palace, our chief transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey has revealed the latest on Glasner’s future at Selhurst Park. He’s revealed that Glasner has ambitions to succeed with Palace but that the club need to match his ambitions.
Bailey adds that Crystal Palace want a new contract for Glasner but that a new deal won’t come about until the New Year, saying: “Oliver Glasner is still Crystal Palace manager, he still has ambitions in South London – but ultimately the club need to match them. If Glasner is a top-four quality manager as he looks to be, can Palace keep him? Maybe but it is going to be very difficult.
“Palace would love a new deal now but it looks like that is a non-starter until the New Year. Palace know Man United are interested, they know others are looking and that is a concern but as they have seen with their players in recent years – when big clubs are circling, it is hard to fend them off. But Steve Parish has not given up on Glasner being Palace manager beyond this season.”
Steve Parish deserves praise for Oliver Glasner treatment at Crystal Palace
It’s not always been so positive for Glasner at Crystal Palace. There have been times when the team has struggled under his watch, with talk less than a year ago of him being replaced at Selhurst Park.
At the time, the Eagles had suffered six defeats in 11. But Parish backed Glasner to turn it around at Crystal Palace and he’s done just that.
Now, it’s about backing him continuously to show him that the club can match his lofty ambitions. Worryingly, though, Glasner is out of contract at Palace next summer.
It could be that Man United bide their time until then to make the swoop for Glasner.
Crystal Palace’s game against Dynamo Kyiv kicks off at 5:45pm on Thursday evening.
